Aloe ecklonis - A stemless, evergreen succulent to 50cm tall. Leaves soft & fleshy, lanceolate, the margins firmly toothed. Flowers crowded in a rounded head, nodding, yellow or salmon-red, approximately 20mm long. Flowers November - January. Sun exposure: full sun to partial shade, will also tolerate light shade. Drought tolerant. Tolerates bush fire and frost resistant. Distribution: open grassland, Eastern Cape to Mpumalanga.
