Aloe myriacantha - A grass aloe, stemless with long (300mm) narrow (10mm) leaves, white spotted and small white teeth. Flowers are almost green & white to slight pink tinge & mauve, flowering March - April. Decidious, with leaves dying back and new growth stimulated by veld fires. It occurs between Uniondale and East London along the Sunshine Coast at a level 0 - 600m above sea level. Drought resistant, not frost resistant. Difficult to cultivate.
