Asparagus densiflorus - 4 Cultivars:

'Cwebe': Exceptionally beautiful, with broader leaflets and taller than A. sprengerii, handsome shrub up to 50cm. New foliage emerges a shiny, deep bronze colour. Prefers semi shade position but tolerates sun if watered and fed with 2:3:2 slow release more often. A waterwise plant - good in dry shade under trees.

'Mazeppa': Fantastic emerald green, mat forming coastal Asparagus, becoming covered with tiny but showy white flowers followed by large red berries. Excellent for borders, containers indoors and out and dry areas. Feed occasionally with slow release organic or chemical fertilizer 2:3:2 for darker colour and lush growth.

'Meyersii Cat's Tail': Attractive foliage plant with thick erect cat's tail like fronds. Tiny white flowers followed by showy red berries Prefers semi shade position but also thrives in sun if kept well watered and fed with 2:3:2 slow release fertilizer more often. Thick tuberous roots make this a waterwise plant - good in dry shade under trees.

'Sprengerii': Ornamental, fern like leaves in long sprays bearing red berries. Makes an excellent ground cover or container plant for indoors or out. Prefers semi shade position but o.k in sun if watered and fed with 2:3:2 slow release more often. Thick tuberous roots make this a waterwise plant - good in dry shade under trees.
