Crinum moorei

English: Moore's or Natal Lily; Afrikaans: Bos- of Natallelie

Crinum moorei - This member of the Amaryllidaceae family, loves damp, clayey and shady areas. It produces large white to pinkish-red tubular flowers in midsummer (October - January). The plant becomes stronger-scented in the evenings. Occurs naturally from the north-eastern Eastern Cape (Port St Johns) to northern Kwazulu-Natal.
