Euphorbia triangularis - Succulent, decidious, spiny tree to 9–18 m high. Trunk simple or with several main branches, sparsely rebranching. Ultimate branches clustered in whorls, ascending-spreading, to 1.3 m long, 3.5–10 cm wide, deeply 3–5-angled. Occurs on dry, rocky & clayey slopes of river valleys, open dry woodland and coastal dunes. Prefers sunny to semi-shade location. Will tolerate light shade. Bright yellow flowers bloom in late summer - autumn. Drought resistant. Will grow in most soil types. Suitable as container plant. The milky sap from the plant is highly poisonous, particularly when it comes into contact with the eyes, often causing permanent damage.
